Shay (JC name Shackled), is a nine-year-old Thoroughbred with an impressive pedigree. His sire, Shackleford, won $3 million and claimed victory in the 2011 Preakness. In January, Shay was diagnosed with Lyme disease and has undergone months of expensive treatment without showing signs of improvement. He remains very muscle sore and requires ongoing veterinary care. Shay is available for adoption and urgently needs a sponsor to help with his continuing vet bills.
