Meet Our Horses
Some are looking for their forever home. Some already found it — right here.
Every horse here has a story. Some are ready for their next chapter — and looking for the right person to share it with. Others have found their permanent home right here at Stoneledge Farm, but still need your support to thrive.
Looking for Their Forever Home

Bustier · 2022 Filly · 15.3H
Betty
Sweet, sound, and just getting started. Betty arrived last fall with severe abscesses in both front feet — our farrier worked wonders. She's entering her retraining program and we can't wait to see what she becomes.

Moonflyer · 2020 Gelding · 16.2H
Magic
Big, bright chestnut who retired simply because he wasn't earning enough at the track — nothing wrong with him at all. Completely sound, full of potential, and entering our retraining program now.

Lass Sassenach · 2021 Filly
Lass
Lass came off the track with fractures in her right knee and needs bone chip surgery before we can assess her future. She may become a riding horse, or she may become a very loved pasture ornament. Surgery goal: $3,000.
Permanent Residents — Sponsor a Horse

Presidential Suite · 2014 Gelding · Permanent Resident
Teddy
Born premature, survived a mystery fever at age 3, healed from a 12-inch chest wound without a scar. Teddy is the most friendly, sweet horse Dayle has ever known — and he is staying with us forever. But you can sponsor him.

Strollanothertime · 2015 Gelding · Permanent Resident
Strollie
Strollie loved jumping, won ribbons at shows, and was easy to work with — until a ligament tear ended his ridden career. He's fully retired now, living happily with three older geldings. He would like you to know the cribbing thing is really not a big deal.

Van Lear Black · 2009 Gelding · By Tapit · Permanent Resident
Van
Purchased for $385,000 at Keeneland. Bob Baffert gave up on him. Survived EPM and kissing spines — still loves trail rides and has the energy of someone who absolutely knows his pedigree. A permanent resident and a legend.

Bella Attrice · 2002 Mare · Permanent Resident
Bella
Bella earned $237,000 on the track before retiring in 2011. She was meant to be a broodmare, but it wasn't meant to be. She came to us in 2019 and has been living her very best life with a herd of retirees ever since. She has earned every blade of grass.

I've Binn Flying · 2000 Mare · 17H · Permanent Resident
Leah
Leah has been with us for many years. EPM left her with significant muscle atrophy in her hind end — but nobody told her that. She's a big opinionated redhead who runs her herd of retired mares with zero apologies. We love her completely for it.

Private Trail · 1995 Mare · 30 Years Old · Permanent Resident
Private
Private is our eldest — thirty years old and still going strong. She came to us in 2020 after the owner of Westfield Farm passed away, and her family established a trust to support her care. She raced briefly at age two. She has been a grande dame ever since.

Bridal Trail · 2004 Mare ·
Permanent Resident
Bridal
Bridal Trail is Private Trail's daughter — 21 years old and a lifelong non-racer. She came to us alongside her mother when Westfield Farm was dispersed, and the two share a paddock and a peaceful retirement together. Some bonds outlast everything.
